Yogini Awards Function

This ceremony aims to recognize the role and contribution of yoga teachers and practitioners across the country.

These all awards are going to three stages.
1. National
2. State
3. District

Shivani Yogini Award (Life time achievements)

 

Shivani is better known as Parvati (or Gauri) and is a Hindu goddess. Shivani is Shakti, the wife of Shiva and the gentle aspect of Mahadevi, the Great Goddess. Shivani is considered to be complete incarnation of Adi Parashakti, with all other goddesses being her incarnations or manifestations.

Gargi Yogini Award (Special Research)

Yogini (Sanskrit: योगिनी, IAST: yoginī) is a female master practitioner of tantra and yoga, as well as a formal term of respect for female Hindu or Buddhist spiritual teachers in Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Greater Tibet.

Patanjali Award (Institutional

Yogini)

 

Patañjali (Sanskrit: पतञ्जलि) was a sage in ancient Tamilakam, thought to be the author of a number of Sanskrit and Tamil works. The greatest of these are the Yoga Sutras, a classical yoga text.

Maitrayi Award (Yoga well wishers)

Maitreyi (Sanskrit: मैत्रेयी) (“friendly one”) was an Indian philosopher who lived during the later Vedic period in ancient India. … Maitreyi appears in ancient Indian texts, such as in a dialogue where she explores the Hindu concept of Atman (soul or self) in a dialogue with Yajnavalkya in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad.
